Boarding

When your dog boards at Paws 4 Play, not only do we provide a safe and sanitary environment, but we give your dog love, attention, and comfort as if your dog was at home. Your dog will be walked several times per day, and at no additional cost, daycare is included in your dog’s stay. Your dog will have the freedom to roam and play with other daycare and boarding guests throughout the day and will be well exercised prior to bedtime.

All dogs boarding at our facility have their own private room to go to at bedtime. While your dog is in our care, we will serve breakfast and dinner. You are welcome to bring your dog’s food with you or we will provide food for an additional charge of $5.00 per day. If your dog is on any medications, we will administer them as directed.

All owners are required to submit a completed Personality Profile, Owner’s Agreement Form and Emergency Contact Form prior to their dog’s stay.

• Rabies: 1 or 3 year • Dist/Parvo: 1 or 3 year or titer test • Bordetella: 1 year (if intranasal or oral you must wait 10 days before coming in) Strongly Recommended:
• Negative fecal test or a de-wormer current within the last year • All dogs must be on a monthly flea and tick preventative as well as a monthly heart worm preventative.
Proof of vaccinations by a licensed veterinarian is required. All dogs must be nonaggressive and compatible with other dogs. All dogs must be able to interact friendly with other dogs or at least tolerate them.

Socialization

I understand that I will be notified in such circumstances and that any veterinary costs on behalf of my pet(s) are solely my responsibility. For myself, my heirs and any assigns, hereby release Paws 4 Play and any subcontractors from any and all liabilities for injury to myself , my dog or any other property of mine which may arise in any way out of service and/or products provided by or as a consequence of my association with Paws 4 Play. I acknowledge and understand that every dog reacts differently and that animals by nature are unpredictable. Dogs and other animals may without warning bite or cause injury to humans and other dogs. I acknowledge and understand that there are certain risks involved in dog ownership, training and care, including but not limited to dog fights, bites to humans or other dogs as well as the potential transmission of diseases. While every effort is made to provide a safe and secure environment for your dog, Paws 4 Play, its officers, managers and subcontractors cannot be held responsible for injury, illness, loss or death of an animal in our care. Owners are responsible for all fees incurred on behalf of their dogs and all fees must be paid before animals are released, owner also authorizes Paws 4 Play/Subcontractors to charge on file credit cards for fees. Paws 4 Play or any subcontractors does not make refunds on deposits or payments for training. Governing Law. This agreement is to be construed under the laws of the State of Florida. The sole proper venue for any dispute under this agreement shall be the court of the State of Florida or any Federal court sitting within said state. Training Addendum If Applicable: Owner participation is required for success in our program. It is imperative that owners maintain and reinforce the training and discipline that has been instilled in your dog during his/her time with Paws 4 Play or its subcontractors. Your dog will be trained for life but you must learn how to handle and reinforce your dog’s training to obtain maximum benefit. Owners not picking up their dogs at the completion of the program will be charged our current fee per day for boarding services.

Dogs not familiar with Paws 4 Play or our boarding services may experience:
Dramatic changes in food and/or level of activity may cause upset stomachs, diarrhea and/or colitis*
_Dogs not regularly socialized do not necessarily know correct manners when being introduced to another dog or dogs. These dogs are at higher risk of incidents, not limited to, bites, dog fights, fear aggression, object guarding and behavioral problems such as acting out*
Dogs that come to Paws 4 Play for daycare may get dirty, a bath can be requested and scheduled*
Excessively long nails can cause injury to dogs, humans and property. Toe nail trims can be done at a charge of $10.00*
Although all dogs go through temperament testing prior to admission, sometimes a dog, known always as docile and sweet will suddenly become aggressive to another dog. It may come from a look, stealing a ball or maybe even a subtle provocation. Also some male dogs, although neutered, will suddenly become sexually active. In either of these cases any behavior deemed aggressive, not safe or inappropriate by Paws 4 Play may result in putting a dog in a brief “time out” away from other dogs to let them cool off. In rare instances it can result in dismissal from daycare services.*
Keep in mind that similar to a children's daycare, dogs may come home with minor scrapes and scratches. Should your dog become injured or ill, Paws 4 Play will attempt to contact the owner right away. If unavailable, Paws 4 Play staff will use their own judgement whether to seek medical care. Our official veterinarian is Dr. Steve Pullon of Village Veterinary Care in Tequesta and Jupiter Pet Emergency & Specialty Center. Payments for all veterinary services are the responsibility of the owner. All charges will be invoiced.*
